The Continental Technical Support team highly recommends ruling out a Windows permissions problem prior to reaching out for support.
Unfortunately, too many customer issues are caused by a lack of Windows permissions. Today’s Windows operating systems are very complex with domain and local security policies that contain thousands of settings. All it takes is one incorrect setting to cause the software to become non-functional. Performing the following two steps can eliminate unnecessary troubleshooting time and increase profitability for our valued customers.
1) If the computer is logged on to a domain, log off the domain and log on to the local computer. While logged on the local computer, verify if the problem still exists. If the problem still exists, perform step 2.
2) Create a new Windows user and make the user a member of the Administrators group. Log off the existing user and log back on to the local computer with the new user. Verify if the problem has been resolved.
Note: If needed, contact the network administrator on-site to assist with the above steps.
