Continental Access – Tech Tip Of The Week (03/10/14)

After IMPORTING a software license, it is VERY IMPORTANT to ACTIVATE and REGISTER the software license.

In most cases, software licenses are emailed to the customer. The software license file name is “CardAccess.Lic”. It is very important the installer has the software license file on hand and also to verify that there is internet access.

To install the software license, you must copy the “CardAccess.Lic” file to the desktop on the CardAccess 3000 Host/Server.

VERY IMPORTANT: You MUST have FULL ADMINSTRATOR PERMISSIONS to Import, Activate and Register a soft license.

Using the “CardAccess License Manager” utility, you must IMPORT, ACTIVATE and REGISTER the software license. After the CardAccess 3000 software license is imported, you are provided a grace period during which the CardAccess 3000 software will be functional. It is very important to Activate and Register the license prior to the grace period expiring. The CardAccess 3000 will fail to launch once the grace period expires.

Continental Access highly recommends ACTIVATING and REGISTERING the software license immedately after IMPORTING.
