Please remember to leave the CardAccess 3000 / CA4K software running on the host computer and communicating with the Continental panels and Wireless Locks. The correct time will automatically be sent to all Continental panels and Wireless Locks.

WARNING: If the time zone in the CardAccess 3000 / CA4K host PC does not adjust accordingly, the correct time will not download to the panels. For example, after the time change, a computer in the “Eastern Time Zone” should display “Eastern Daylight Savings Time”.

Continental Access – Service Pack 2 For CA4K, V1.1.16 is now available

Dear Valued Customer,

Service Pack 2 for the CA4K, V1.1.16  Software is now available.

It is available on the Continental FTP site. Please contact Continental Technical Support for more information.

Included with the Service Pack 2 software is the SP2 Installation instructions, SP2 Readme and the SP2 phone app Readme.

The SP2 Readme document will outline all the enhancements/fixes the service pack 2 provides.

Prior to installing Service Pack 2, you must have CA4K, V1.1.16 with or without SP1 installed. Then you must install Service Pack 2. The Service Packs are cumulative, so it is only necessary to install Service Pack 2.

Continental Access – CA4K Mobile App Technical Advisory

Dear Value Customer – The CA4K Service Pack 1 that was recently released, contains an update for the CA4K Mobile Web APP. This update is for the application that is installed on the computer running IIS. This is not an update for the phone app downloaded from the Google or Apple stores, and installed on the phone.

If you do not have Service Pack 1 installed over V1.1.16, you must install Service Pack 1 before updating the CA4K Mobile Web App. Please contact Continental Technical Support for the ftp download information.

If you are installing the CA4K Mobile Web APP for the first time, you MUST first install IIS and then install the CA4K Mobile Web APP included with Service Pack 1.

If you have already installed the CA4K Mobile Web APP from CA4K V1.1.16, you must uninstall it from Programs and Features, and reinstall it from Service Pack 1.

Continental Access – CA4K V1.1.x Service Pack 1 Installation Document has been posted

Dear Valued Customer,

The Installation document for the CA4K, V1.1.16  Service Pack 1 has been posted to the Continental Document library.

The CA4K, V1.1.16 Service Pack 1 is available on the Continental FTP site. Please contact Continental Technical Support for more information.

The CA4K, V1.1.16 Service Pack 1 includes 3 different updates. The first update is for the CA4K software. This update must be installed on all instances of a Complete Server, Workstation, Server Only, Database Only, Report Station and HCS instances.

The second update is for the CA4K,  V1.1.x Web Client. This should only be installed if you are using a Web Client and should be installed on the computer with IIS and the Web Client application installed on it.

The third update is for the CA4K Mobile Phone APP. This should only be installed if you are using the CA4K Mobile App. This update should be installed on the computer with IIS and the CA4K Mobile App application installed on it.

VERY IMPORTANT: Unlike the first two updates, prior to installing the CA4K Mobile App update, you must uninstall the previous version from Programs and Features in Control Panel.
